Waves influence the erosion, deposition and transportation and the shape of the coastlines.
waves are caused

Impacts of sea level rise,
sea level rise is down to global warming. current rate is 2mm per year.
IPPC states 'overtime the mim and max range of the record for sea level rise has narrowed as tide gauges and telittie measurements have become more accurate. 2013 28 to 98 cm rise when in 2007 the 2100 prediction was 20 to 50.
Factors to sea level rise:
thermo expansion of the oceans, warm due to global warming. high global temp = high sea level
melting of mountain glaciers ion the Alps. Himalayas will increase oceon volume.
The melting of major ice sheets.

Causes of sea level change- scientific.
-winds push waves to coasts causing storm surges.
-atmospheric pressure causes depressions on the earth leading to more salt water intrusion.
Strata formation
The Alpine orogeny produced intense metamorphism of preexisting rocks, crumpling of rock strata, and uplift accompanied by both normal and thrust faulting. as seen in exposures at Alum Bay and Whitecliff Bay
Isostatic changes and Eustatic changes.
marine regression
seabed is exposed and the sea level drops, producing an emergent coast
Eustatic fall in sea
- during glacial periods, ice sheets formed in high latitudes (cold), water evaporated from the sea is locked as ice =
global fall in sea level.
Isostatic fall in sea
-Land based sea ice, the weight of the ice , collossal weight of the ice causes the earths surfaces to drag.
