Input, Output and Storage Device -How they work?
We know from my Explanation, what some Inputs, Outputs and Storage Devices do... But how do they work?
I'm going to choose Devices that I did not mention in the Explanation, but did in the Mind-Map.
MOUSE
Optic Mouse - The Optic Mouse works by taking pictures, the optic mouse takes 1,500 pictures per second, then the pictures are sent to be processed. The pictures get sent to the Digital Signal Processor to Process the pictures and analyse them. Then the DSP is able to detect patterns to see if it has moved or changed in anyway. Once that has happened the mouse can now realises that one picture is different to the other, so then it move the cursor by sending the data over to the computer, so then the computer gets the coordinates and like I said moves the cursor . The Optic Mouse makes millions of instructions, millions of decisions per second! That's more than the Human a person, in one day! That is how an Optic Mouse Works!
Mechanical Mouse - The Mechanical Mouse, has a hole that a little ball, goes inside. The little ball moves telling the mouse that it needs to move the cursor in that direction. The ball hits the sides, the sides has a fitted tracking sensor / movement sensor. Telling the mouse it has moved. It basically moves around! The downside is the fact that, the Mechanical Mouse gets dirt in it, which will make the mouse fault. Fortunately you can clean out, the little Mouse.
In my opinion the Optic Mouse, is a more efficient mouse than the Mechanical Mouse, with the faults! The Mouse, is an Input Device.
HARD DRIVE
A Hard Drive works by rotating the platter, so that the User, can access any part of the Hard Drive. That way the User, can access the Information they have put on the Hard Drive. That is how a Hard Drive Works. The Hard Drive is a Storage Device.
SPEAKER
A Speaker works by using a coil, a magnet and a cone. The magnet moves in the coil, creating electrical signals. The electrical signals then make sounds at a frequency you can hear. It`s pushing air through, a cone making the sound we want to hear. This is because the coils, energy source, is being turned on and off making the sounds, I just talked about in the previous paragraph. That is how a Speaker works. The Speaker is an Output Device.
