- Direct Tax: Money taken directly from your pay check to the government
- Indirect Tax: Extra money made onto the cost when imported
They tax everything the people needed, lead to uproar, now they are tighten control they didn't like that (were controlling their own colonies)
When was repealed in NY they built a statue of King George, lots of celebration
Townshend Act
