René Descartes

Empiricism

John Locke

George Berkeley

René Descartes descended a radical skepticism and emerged with his conviction "cogito ergo sum" - I think therefore I exist

René Descartes said that it was related to the immaterial world, said that it could exist as a thinking thing and was a believer in God

The philosophical opponents of René Descartes thought that cogito ergo sum was a dead end.

Descartes was a lover of rationalism like Plato

The senses are based on a reliable source, but sometimes they fool you

The great debate between Plato and Aristotle

They agreed that just because your senses tell you something that doesn't mean you can trust them.

Aristotle

Plato

Attention is focused on the earth

The truth lies in the immaterial world of ideas

Descartes' counterpoint was John Locke he believed that we are all born as a blank slate

All knowledge is obtained from experience, he rejected the concept of innate ideas, he thought that we are born being nothing.

Primary qualities

Secondary qualities

Qualities that physical objects possess are not in our minds, they are in the objects, mobility, solidity, density, weight.

For him the color, taste, texture, smell, sound are not real, not in an objective way, they are in our minds.

He was moved by empiricism and used Locke's law against himself

Secondary qualities are not objectively real and you can't have one without the other either.

There is no such thing as matter, there are no objects but perceptions, those who perceive do not exist, in reality they are incorporeal minds, but they learn things that are not there.

We are adrift from the world if we do not perceive ourselves and people do not perceive us, we cease to exist that which keeps us alive is God. He is the only one who always sees and perceives us.
