• Preventive maintenance is the best management plan for electrical which includes tests of the relay, circuit breaker, alternating current (AC), high voltage direct current (DC), and battery charge, among others. But maintenance plan that will be applied for any electrical breakdowns is reactive maintenance.
• Solution idea
• Replace the starter of the pendafluor lamp if it is the cause that make it blinking. But if there is no problem with the starter, it may ballast not gives the lamp enough voltage to start it, then its limits the amount of current going to the bulb, enabling the bulb to give off a steady light. Therefore, if that so, change the ballast of the lamp.
• Estimated cost of repair
• Less than RM10 needed to change the starter. But, if it is broken light fixture, the replacement cost at RM 30 and above depends on how much electronic part that need to be replaced.
• Time of repairs
• Time for repairs usually take less than 3 hours to be done.
