the collective programming of the mind that distinguishes the members of one human group from another

norms, beliefs, rules, opinions, taboos, expectations, & world views

Surface culture: includes things like food, fashion, language, gestures, art, games, & music

Prerequisite: a course that must be successfully completed before taking a more advanced course

Adopting a creator mindset & mastering creator language

Creator mindset- causes people to see multiple options, chooses wisely among them, and takes effective action

Victim mindset- keeps people from seeing and acting on choices that could help them achieve the life they want

inner critic- internal voice that judges us, blames self

inner defender- judges others

inner guide- knows judgement doesn't improve difficult situations, observes the situation and ask questions

Making decisions

Wise choice process:

what's my situation ?

how would I like my situation to be ?

what are my possible choices ?

what's the likely outcome of each possible choice ?

which choice will commit to doing?

how andwill i evaluate my plan ?

Change your inner conversation:A (activating event)+ B ( beliefs) = C (how we respond)

Creating inner motivation:

Designing a compelling life plan:

DAPPS (Dated, Achievable, Personal, Positive, Specific)

A "life role" is an activity to which we regularly devote large amounts of TIME & ENERGY

a memory device to assist us remembering the five qualities of an effective goal

Acting on purpose:

Q1- important & urgent

Q2- important & not urgent

Q3- unimportant & urgent

Q4-unimportamnt & not urgent
