CRT Monitors- Used to output images on a screen and shows what you have typed in.

AdvantagesProduces more clearer images than a TFT monitor.

Compatible with light pens so ideal for designing in conjunction with CAD and CAM software.

The angle at which the screen is viewed at is better than a TFT monitor.

DisadvantagesEmits a lot of heat which could lead to safety hazards such as fire.

Consumes more power than a TFT monitor.

Very heavy so need support when carrying it around

TFT monitors are used to display what you're typing in. Commonly used as the laptop monitor.

Doesn't emit as much heat as CRT's.

Less power used than CRT's.

Disadvantages

Light pens aren't compatible with TFT monitors.

When viewing the monitor at an angle, it's difficult to see the screen.

The images have less quality than CRT monitors.

Multimedia Projectors are used for presentations.

Advantages

Instead of looking at a small screen, everyone can look at a large board

Saves using multiple computers.

Disadvantages

It's very expensive and that can put people off buying it.
