  1. Innate immune response

    • Function:
    • Macrophages(Capture the Pathogen and display the antigen)
    • Natural Killer Cells(once the find a cell that show sign of virus infection or cancerious cell it release a chemical that will kill the cell not allowing it to spread further
    • mast Cells ( detect the injury and release histamine and show inflammatory response. )
    • Histamines ( increase the blood flow of injured area and bring in phagocytes and other immune cell to neutralize the pathogens.
  2. Adaptive immune response

    • macrophages( eat any foreign object and eat it then break it down into protein and give it to the immune cells
    • Helper t Cells (major regulator of virtually all immune functions in the body, help b cell grow and mature them to active form)
    • Cytotoxic t cells ( create a chemical call perforin and release enzymes to kill the infected cells.)
    • plasma b cells ( B cells that remain committed to the production and secretion of a single antibody type. Producing antibodies to defend for the immue system)
    • memory b cells (cells migrate to the lymph nodes, where they remain ready for further rounds of activation should the specific antigen ever be encountered again. If it is, then a very quick response can be made because memory B cells are ready and waiting to multiply killing the antigen.
    • antibodies (Targeting an infective organism,Recruitment of immune cells,Neutralisation of toxins,Removal of foreign antigens from circulation,Complement activation,Stimulation of cells that can ‘eat’ foreign substances,Activation of mast cells
  3. Vaccine importance

    • Vaccine that is given to paitence are give a weaker version of the virus and give the immune system expusore to the antigen. This cause the immue system to create memory cells. Therefore if the memory cells ever see anything like it specific virus they will kill it .
  4. Why HIV is so hard for the immune system

    • Hiv are very high rate of mutation cause the immune system to consently have to requirlize the hiv and attack them.
    • Also the consent fast reproduction rate of hiv is it hard for the immune system to kill it.
    • Hiv cause aids and aids result there is a loss of helper T cells, leaving the body open to infection. Also, due to the influence of helper T cells on B cells, B cells may be inactive in cases where the T cells are damaged.
  5. Immune system gone awry
