1The CPU What is the CPU responsible for?The CPU is responsible for all of the processing the computer does. Without a CPU, computers would not be able to do anything with the data they store.

6What is cache memory?The cache is a small area that is very quick for the CPU to access. By storing regularly used items in the cache, the computer can cut down on the load time of those items.
