Deterrence Punishment for the purpose of warning others against committing a similar crime

Just war The belief that using violence to resolve conflict is morally justified if conditions are fulfilled
Jus ad bellum The "just war" conditions that must be fulfilled before going to war (e.g last resort)
Jus in bello The "just war" conditions that must be fulfilled during war (e.g proportionally)
Jus post bellum The"just war" conditions that must be fulfilled after the war has ended (e.g peace must be restored)
Righteous Anger The use of violence in a just cause (e.g Jesus in the Temple, Matthew 21:12)
Non-violent Resistance The use of peaceful means to oppose violence (e.g hunger strikes, petitions and protest marches)
