Question Answer
Collaborative working This is joint or partnership working. It is when a group of people are working on the same document together.
What is the the problem with working collaboratively on a document? Several versions in existence meaning that some people will be working on the older wrong versions.
How should systems be set up? Systems should be set up so that only one member of the team has ownership of the document at a time.
What happens after someone finished editing part of the document? The updated version is saved and sent to other member's of the team. The ownership is passed onto another member of the team.
Benefits of collaborative working -The document will remain updated at all times. -One person can only have ownership at a time meaning that every time someone will be using the correct version.
Problems with collaborative working -This system only works as long as procedures are followed by the team and they don't send copies on to their own computers.
