Collaborative working | This is joint or partnership working. It is when a group of people are working on the same document together. |
What is the the problem with working collaboratively on a document? | Several versions in existence meaning that some people will be working on the older wrong versions. |
How should systems be set up? | Systems should be set up so that only one member of the team has ownership of the document at a time. |
What happens after someone finished editing part of the document? | The updated version is saved and sent to other member's of the team. The ownership is passed onto another member of the team. |
Benefits of collaborative working | -The document will remain updated at all times. -One person can only have ownership at a time meaning that every time someone will be using the correct version. |
Problems with collaborative working | -This system only works as long as procedures are followed by the team and they don't send copies on to their own computers. |
