Kashrut	Kashrut is the main body of the jewish law dealing with what foods can and cannot be eaten and how foods must be prepared.
Aron Hakodesh	Aron Hakodesh is the holy ark containing the Torah scrolls. It is on the wall facing Jerusalem. and is the focal point of the synagogue.
Kippah	A kipper is a cap worn by jewish boys and men (and sometimes women) during services. It is worn as a reminder is Gods presence.
Ner Tamid	Ner Tamid is an 'eternal light'. It is a constantly lit lamp near the ark in the synagogue which symbolises that Gods presence.
Rabbi	A rabbi is the person who leads the synagogue and makes decisions about jewish law.
Orthodox	Orthodox is a group in judaism which is traditional and closely follows the rules in the Torah.
Reform	Reform is a group in judaism which is more modern. Reform jews choose which laws in the torah to follow.
