What is Internal Storage? Internal storage is also known as the hard drive in a computer. This is the main storage of the computer and is referred to as the hard drive. The hard drive uses magnetic imprints to imprint onto a disk that is then read.
What is Physical Storage? Physical Storage is a device for recording and storing information.
What is cloud storage ? Cloud storage is keeping data stored on a physical storage it is a online service where all the data is stored online. Many companies such as Google Docs, youtube and and even social networking sites like facebook also use it. Cloud storage is called cloud storage because it can be accessed by any computer through the internet.
What is Solid State Storage? Solid state storage (SSS) is a type of computer storage media that is made from silicon microchips. SSS stores data electronically instead of magnetically, as spinning hard.
What is a CPU A central processing unit (CPU) is the hardware within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetical, logical, control and input/output operations of the system. The term has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s.
What is ROM? Rom stands for 'Read-Only Memory'. ROM is a type of built-in memory that is mainly used with computers. As the name indicates, data stored in ROM may only be read. A simple example of ROM is the cartridge used with video game consoles; which allows one system to run multiple games. Another example of ROM is EEPROM, which is a programmable ROM used for the computer BIOS, as shown in the picture.
What is RAM? RAM (random access memory) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept. The data stored in RAM stays there only as long as your computer is running. When you turn the computer off, RAM loses its data.
What is a motherboard? The motherboard is the main circuit board of your computer. Attached to the motherboard, you'll find the CPU, ROM, memory RAM expansion slots, PCI slots, and USB ports. The motherboard is essentially what makes everything in your computer work together.
