what are the differences between animals and plants	- plants make their own food by photosynthesis - do not move their whole bodies from one place to another - plant cells are often bigger, can be up to 10x the size.
what are algae	simple aquatic organisms which also make their food by photosynthesis and have many similar features to plant cells → are classified as part of the protista
cell wall	- made of cellulose - strengthens & supports the cell
chloroplasts	- contain chlorophyll → absorbs light for photosynthesis; makes plant green - where photosynthesis takes place
permanent vacuole	filled with cell sap; keeps cells rigid to support the cell
