Other considerations. *Willingness of client to perform test. *Assessment of the client's PARQ+, health history, and any special considerations
Selecting the appropriate test. *Avoid a "one size fits all" approach. *Case by case.
Maximal tests. *Maximal tests are more accurate but not always most appropriate. *Typically more expensive & longer in duration. *Need specialized personnel & equipment *For anyone with a risk level other than "low".
Submaximal tests *Can still result in reasonable estimate of VO2max. *Client does not exercise to complete exhaustion.
