Air Masses is a large body of air that has the same temperature, atmospheric pressure and humidity throughout. Air masses move around and bring certain weather conditions with them.
Fonts= as the properties of air masses are different they do not mix well. when two air masses meet an imaginary line of boundary develops between them. This is called a front. fronts can be cold or warm.
A cold front develops where a cold air mass advances on a cold air mass. 1. the cold air mass pushes against the warm air mass, which is lighter. 2.The warm air mass is forced to rise quickly . 3.the warm air cools as it rises. causing condensation to take place. 4.This results in heavy cloud and rain.
