Question Answer
Planes Horizontal lines.
Joints Vertical lines.
How do the limestone pavements weaken and lines widen? Rainwater passes through the lines of weakness in the rock, this causes a chemical reaction which makes the joints and planes bigger.
Grykes The widening and deepening of the cracks on the surface.
Clints exposed by grykes and forming the limestone pavement.
