Employers duties under the HASAWA 1. Provide safe access and exit to and within the work area 2. Provide a safe place to work 3. Provide and maintain plant and machinery that is safe and without risks to health. 4. Provide informatiom, instruction and supervision to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees 5. Ensure safety and the absense of risks to health in connection with handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances 6. Have a written safety policy that must be revised and updated regularly, and ensure all employees are aware of it 7. Involve trade union safety representatives, where appointyed, in all matters relating to health and safety 8. Provide and not charge for personal protective equipment
Employee's duties 1. Take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety
Suppliers duties under the HASAWA Persons designing, manufacturing, importing or supplying articles or substances for use at work must ensure: 1. Articles are designed and constructed so that they will be safe and without risk to health at all times while they are being used or constructed 2. Substances will be safe and without risk to health at all times when being used, handled, transported and stored 3. Tests on articles and substances are carried out as necessary 4. Adequate ionformation is provided about the use, handling, transporting and storing of articles or substances
