An Allel Is the alternative form of a gene which has a slightly different base sequence
Genotype A set of Allels that determine the expression of a particular trait or charecteristic
Phenotype The observable charecteristics of an individual resulting from its genotype
Dominant Allel The allel that is always expressed when present in the genotype
Reccesive Allel Will only be expressed when the dominant is absent
Homozygous When the alleles are the same
Heterozygous When the alleles are different
