What is energy? Energy is the ability to do work., or the ability to make things happen.
What forms can energy take? ? Energy can be heat, light, sound, or motion
What is stored energy? Stored energy is energy that is ready to do work, but it isn't being used yet. It is waiting and available to do work.
What are some examples f a stored energy sources? Energy can be stored in batteries, in food, in any form of fuel (wood, oil, coal, gasoline), in a raised ball or other object, in a coiled rubber band, etc
What happens with the energy so a flashlight can light? The stored energy from the battery is converted to light energy in the light bulb.
What happens to the energy when when a pinwheel moves? The stored energy in the wind changes to kinetic energy (motion)
What is the biggest source of energy on Earth? The sun!
