| Explain how a food chain works. | The energy at the start of a food chain comes from sunlight. Food chains usually start with green plants. However algae are also producers so they can start of a food chain. Consumers often belong to more than one trophic level. When badgers eat seeds they are primary consumers, when they eat worms they are secondary consumers. |
| What is a pyramid of biomass? | The length of each bar represents the biomass at each level of the food chain. |
| What is a pyramid of numbers? | The length of each bar represents the number of organisms at each level in the food chain. |

| How many chromosomes are in a human body cell? | There are 23 chromosomes in a human body cell. |
