Describe the brave deed which is carried out by David in chapter 4. He courageously removes his clothing, dives into the water and rescues a puppy which would have drowned.
Why did the man try and drown the puppy? The puppy only had 3 legs and he obviously did not want the puppy because of this.
What is a 'queen cat' and why would people not want to keep them? A mother cat (not yet spayed) some people do not their cat to be able to have kittens which this cat is able to have.
Which three incidents prove that David has a caring and responsible side? 1. Buys flee powder for Stumpy 2. Cares for Stumpy by providing it with a box and milk etc. 3. Rescues Stumpy (puppy)
Which incidents prove that David can also be defiant, disobedient and dishonest? 1. Disregards Mamsies' advice not to keep Stumpy. 2. Kept Stumpy's box underneath his bed without Dadda knowing. 3. Steals Susan's nappies to wash cars to make money. 4. Skips School
What does a boy do to David after a stone accidentally hits him and what happens to David afterwards and who intervenes? He smacks him and his nose starts to bleed. Oupa intervenes and the boys shake hands, but David gives him a look of revenge.
What does David refuse to do (regarding Dadda) He refuses to eat the food that Dadda made him, despite being hungry which added to the tension between the two of them.
