What are the three types of contraception? Artificial, Natural and Permanent.
What does the diaphragm (cap) and condom do? These stop the sperm meeting the egg. Condoms also stops the spread of S.T.I's.
What does the coil and the 'morning after pill' do? And what do some people consider these forms as? These stop the fertilised egg from implanting in the womb. Some people consider these methods a form of abortion.
What is a spermicidal jelly or cream do? Kills the sperm directly.
What does the contraceptive injection do? Stop the release of the egg fro, the ovary.
What does the rhythm method do? And what type of contraception is it? The couple stop having sex when the woman is most fertile each month. The woman works out when this is from changes in her body temperature. It is a natural form of contraception.
What is sterilisation? And what type of contraception is it? A surgical operation of either the man or woman. It is a permanent way of preventing pregnancy. It can be reversed but very difficult. It is the permanent form of contraception.
