What is the purpose of the CPU? The purpose of the Central Processing Unit (CPU) is to process instructions.
What are the functions of a CPU? The CPU uses The fetch-execute cycle to process information. This cycle fetches the data which needs to be processed, decodes it and then executes the information.
What is the benefit of having multiple cores? Multiple cores can process more information as the two cores can work simultaneously.
What is clock speed? The speed of the CPU is determined by an electronic clock chip.
Where does the CPU fetch from? Firstly, it will try to fetch the data from cache if it did not find it it will go to RAM. Secondly, if it can't find the data in Primary storage it will go to Secondary storage to find the information which is needed.
