    1. 1. We use it to show change or make comparisons

    2. Form
      1. 1. One-syllable adj. and some two-syllable adj.: Adj + -er
        1. 2. Adj.ending in -y/-ly change that to -i and add -er
          1. 3. Adj. with one sylable that end in a vowel and a consonant, double consonant and add -er
            1. 4. Two syllables (not ending in -y) and three or more syllables add "more" befote the adj.
              1. 5. Some adj. have irregular comparatives forms
      2. Grammar structure
        1. 1. Subj. + comp. adj. + than + complement
