  1. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it just transformed.
    1. KINETIC ENERGY. All objects have kinetic energy when they are moving.
      1. POTENTIAL ENERGY. All objects have potencial energy. This energy is stored in the object.
        1. MECHANICAL ENERGY. This form of energy is the sum of the kinetic energy and the potential energy in an object when it is doing work.
          1. THERMAL ENERGY. This energy comes from a heated substance. When thermal energy is transferred from or to an object, we call it heat.
            1. CHEMICAL ENERGY. This form of energy is released during a chemical reaction.
              1. ELECTRICAL ENERGY. This energy can provide power for machines.
                1. LIGHT ENERGY. This energy can be natural or artifitial. The sun or fire gives us natural light.
                  1. SOUND ENERGY. This energy comes from a source that produces vibration.
