PREDICTIONS

3. Check Your Prediction.
  1. Confirm after read.
  2. Think about what you have read previously.
  3. Think about what may happen.
4. Predict and assert some ideas.
INFERRING
1. Introduce in context whil you read.
2. Is about you're reading between the lines.
3. Interpret meaning.
4. Find that in clues thath need to be interpreted.
5. What will do a character?
6. Infer motives, purposes, and intentions.
GESSING
1. Is used to relate words.
2. Guessing means estimating something.
3. Guessing could be used depending on the context.
4. Guess what word means.
SCANNING
1. Find specific informarion.
  1. Dates.
  2. Names.
  3. statistics.
  4. Places.
2. Selectively read and skip through sections of the passage.
  1. You have a question in your mind and you read a passage only to find the answer.
SKIMMING
1. You can read only main ideas for a general impression.
2. Read the title.
3. Read any headings and sub-headings.
4. Notice any italicized or boldface words or phrases.
5. Read the summary of last paragraph.
