  1. Natural Hazard
    1. Any natural events that has the potiental to endanger human life, the economy and propety
      1. Atmosheric Hazards
        1. Weather hazard created in the atmosphere, by weather and climate
          1. Drought, Hurricane, Sandstorm
        2. Geological Hazards
          1. Rock/Earth hazards. Created by tectonic plates or surface rock and soil
            1. Earthquake, Volcanic eruptions, Tsunami, Avalanche
          2. Water Based Hazards
            1. Hazards created by river, sea or oceans
              1. Flood, Tsunami
            2. Biological Hazards
              1. Any biological loiving substance poses a threat to the health of people
                1. Disease, Forest fire
              2. Some natural hazards can overlap categories, for example tsunami can fit into multiple categories because tsunami is created by the movement of tectonic plates (geological Hazards) but the main damage is done by water (Water Based Hazards)
            3. Tectonic Plate
              1. Crust is the outer layer of the earth. It is very thin, between a thickness of 6km and 7km
                1. Constructive plate, movement of the two plate moving apart, magma rises up through the gap forming a volcano
                  1. Destructive plate, occurs when the oceanic plate is being forced under the continental plate, this may trigger earthquakes
                    1. Oceanic and Continental plate differ because the continental plate is lighter and thicker (made from granite) than the oceanic which is thinner but denser (made from basalt)
                    2. Conservative plate, occurs when two plates slide past each other in a different direction or in the same direction but at different speed
                    3. Mantle due to the high temperature of thick layer, it has consistency of jam. Temperature range from mantle 5000 celsius near the core to 1300 celsius just below the crust
                      1. Reasons why people want to live near volcanoes
                        1. Scientific purpose or research
                          1. Fertile lands to grow crops
                            1. Tourist attraction
                              1. Geothermal energy
                                1. Low house price
                                  1. Beautiful sights
                                2. Inner core is solid, also made of iron. The temperature in this core can be 5500 celsius
                                  1. Why would people not want to live near volcanoes
                                    1. Volcanic eruption
                                      1. Pollutes river and water sources
                                        1. Climate change
                                          1. Landslide after eruption
                                            1. Posonous gas
                                          2. Outer core is liquid made of mainly iron
