Challenges
1. The rubbish isn't collected very often which is toxic and can encourage rodents like rats.
  1. This is an environmental challenge.
2. Air pollution from factories can cause breathing problems like asthma or bronchitus.
3. People might not have good access to electricity or water.
  1. This is a social challenge.
4. Jobs may cause you to have long hours for very little pay. so no matter how hard you work, you will still be poor.
  1. This is an economic challenge.
5. There can be high levels of unemployment and crime rates.
Opportunities
1. There is better access to services like healthcare compared to rural areas.
  1. This is a social opportunity.
2. There is better access to resources like electricity.
3. It can increase economic development in the area.
  1. This is an economic opportunity.
4. There are more jobs there and they could be better wages than they were before. So the citizens can earn more money.
5. More industrialised countries get wealthier.
Urban growth is when cities and suburbs experience a growth in the population.
NEE (Newly Emerging Economy) is an area where the economic development is increasing rapidly.
