    1. Construct a simple series electrical circuit, identify and name main parts (wire, buzzer, bulb, cell, switch)

                        1. Locate the world’s countries, using maps/atlases to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, concentrating on key physical and human characteristics, countries, and major cities
                          1. Understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography of a region of the United Kingdom and a region within North America
                          2. Art
                            1. Design engineer project: design and build a prototype for a moving Christmas tree topper - use research and develop design criteria to design a functional, appealing product that is fit for purpose; analyse a range of existing products, evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria

                              1. Judaism - Festivals of Jewish life - 3 festivals to be covered: Sukkot, Pesach and Hannukah.
                                1. Key questions: How does what happened at each festival help to teach young Jews about their past? What do these festivals show about Jews’ relationship with God? What connections are there between the traditions carried out at the festivals and the teaching of Judaism?

Then learn to use alternative pronouns, apostrophes and technical vocabulary accurately to write a informative biography that appeals to the reader
                                              1. Writing to entertain: The Lighthouse - using noun phrases to describe settings and characters, describe emotions using 'show not tell', choose vocabulary carefully to show contrast and different types of sentences to build tension
                                                1. Poetry - Listen and respond to a range of poems by the same poet with the same theme, to interpret poems for performance, recognise and understand the effect of figurative language and write poems based on personal experiences choosing language to have a desired impact on the reader
                                                2. PSHCE
                                                  1. Celebrating difference - to understand that we sometimes make assumptions about people based on what they look like; to know that bullying is sometimes hard to spot and discuss what to do if we think it might be happening; to identify why some witnesses join in with bullying and some don't tell; identify what is special about myself and how I am unique; talk about times when my first impression changed once I got to know someone
