1 THE SIMPLE PAST
1.1 We use the simple past to express something that has ended in the past and now it doesn´t have relevance. Example: My mom made my lunch yesterday.
2 THE PRESENT PERFECT
2.1 We use the present perfect to express that one thing has done in the past but now it still has relevance. Example: Mike has done his homework since 3 pm.
3 IT TAKES + PERSON
3.1 We can mention a person after it takes to describe how much time that person needs to do a certain activity. Example: It takes me two hours to clean my room.
4 THE USE OF IT TAKES
4.1 We can make affirmative, negative and question sentences with "it takes". The expression describes how much time is necessary to do a certain activity. Example: It takes six hous to get to L.A.
