1 PARTICIPANTS
1.1 Individual (Male or female)
1.2 18 year olds
1.3 Parents may help participant with preparing to leave home
1.4 Newly formed relationships (friends, new relatives etc.)
2 TIMING
2.1 Begins on the individuals 18th birthday
2.2 This is a normal time for individuals to begin thinking about leaving home
2.3 Mentally and physically capable
2.4 Takes place for one month
2.5 Financially able to support themselves for a month alone
3 LOCATION
3.1 Location chosen by individuals parents (location with relatives)
3.2 Disconnected from all personal relationships
3.3 Interacting with new people
3.4 Stays in a apartment
3.5 Can not talk to parents or friends, disconnected from phones, internet etc.
4 DRESS
4.1 The individual may dress in normal clothing
4.2 What they have brought with them
4.3 Learn to think reasonably by what they chose to bring
5 ACTION
5.1 Sent away for one month
5.2 Travels to destination by train/plane
5.3 Prepare for trip with family
5.4 Travelling takes place on their own
6 LEARNING GOAL/CONCLUSION
6.1 Teaches youth to be self reliant
6.2 Independence
6.3 Away from family/friends
6.4 Learn how to form new relationships
