1 Determinación del LL
1.1 Extender 100g aprox de material en una superficie (para LP)
1.1.1 Mezclar el material restante hasta tener una mezcla homogenea
1.1.1.1 Colocar un una pequeña cantidad en la copa de Casagrande (extendida con 8 mm de profundidad)
1.1.1.1.1 Hacer ranura en el centro de arriba hacia abajo.
1.1.1.1.1.1 Empezar los golpes (2 por segundo) y contar el # de golpes para el cual la ranura se cierra 1.3 cm (35 golpes aprox)
1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Colocar una porción de suelo y colocarlo en un contenedor de contenido de agua, pesar y registrar
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Repetir procedimiento para 30,25,20 y 10 golpes
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Colocar capsulas de material en el horno de 12-16 hrs a una temp de 110°C
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Pesar capsulas de suelo seco y regsitrar
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Graficar #golpes vs contenido de agua
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Determinar el valor de LL como el contenido de agua a 25 golpes
2 Determinación de LC Lineal
2.1 Registrar longuitud y peso de la barra
2.1.1 Engrasar molde
2.1.1.1 Llenar molde (3 capas) cuando el suelo tenga consistencia de LL
2.1.1.1.1 Enrasar molde, pesar y registrar
2.1.1.1.1.1 Dejar secar. Tapar molde con una franela durante 2 dias
2.1.1.1.1.1.1 Colocar molde en el horno durante 12-16 hrs a una temp de 100 °C
2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Tomar peso de molde + suelo y registrar
2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Tomar dimensión final de la muestra y registrar
2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 CL = [(Lo-Lf)/Lo]*100
3 Determinación del LP
3.1 Formar esfera con los 100 g que se separaron en la determinación del LL
3.1.1 Formar rodillos de 3mm de espesor (agrietados)
3.1.1.1 Colocar en un contenedor hasta obtener 15g
3.1.1.1.1 Pesar contenedor + material húmedo y registrar
3.1.1.1.1.1 Colocar en el horno durante 12-16 hrs
3.1.1.1.1.1.1 Determinar peso de contenedor + suelo seco
3.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Determinar contenido de agua = LP
4 PREPARACIÓN DE MATERIAL
4.1 Disgregar el suelo y cribar por malla #40 (llenar capsula de porcelana)
4.1.1 Agregar agua al material y mezclar
4.1.1.1 Guardar material en una bolda de plástico durante 24 hrs
4.1.1.1.1 Pesar contenedores para contenido de agua y registrar
4.1.1.1.1.1 Verificar caída de la copa (1 cm altura)
4.1.1.1.1.1.1 Calibrar la copa (2 golpes por segundo)
