1 Aerobic Respiration
1.1 Breathing is necessary for respiration
1.1.1 This is because areobic respiration uses oxygen
1.2 Aerobic respiration is a chenical reaction that breaks down glucose from food using oxygen
1.3 Glucose + Oxygen Carbon dioxide + Water (+ Energy)
2 Anaerobic Respiration
2.1 It does not use oxygen
2.2 Word Equation
2.2.1 glucose → lactic acid (+ energy)
2.3 It happens when there is not enough oxygen for aerobic respiration
2.4 Much less energy is released by anaerobic respiration than by aerobic respiration
3 Respiration takes place in the cytoplasm of cells
4 Respiration takes place in every living being
