  1. Eye problems
    1. Prolonged computer use could be linked to glaucoma, especially among those who are short-sighted. Our eyes are affected by how long you stare at the screen.
      1. How to prevent this?
        1. Take regular screen breaks.
          1. Adjust screen brightness.
            1. Sit further away from the screen.
        2. Bad posture
          1. People suffer from back and neck pain after working at a computer for a long time.
            1. How to prevent this?
              1. Use an adjustable, ergonomic designed chair so that you can set the position correctly.
                1. Move the keyboard and monitor so that it is in the correct position according to your height.
                  1. Take regular breaks so that you are not sitting in the same position for long periods of time.
                    1. Use a foot rest.
                2. Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
                  1. Any repetitive movements over long periods of time can result in repetitive strain injury (RSI) e.g constantly typing and clicking a mouse can cause RSI in the wrist.
                    1. How to prevent this?
                      1. Use a wrist-rest to support the wrists while typing and when using the mouse.
                        1. Take regular breaks from typing or using the mouse.
                          1. Adjust the keyboard so that you are typing in a comfortable position.
                            1. Sit up straight and in a comfortable position.
