- 1What is an input device?An input device is a device that allows you to send data to your computer.Input devices include; keyboards, mouses and a USB stick.
- 2What is an output device?An output device is any peripheral that receives data from a computer.Output devices include; printers,scanners and photocopiers.
- 3What is a storage device?A piece of computer equipment on which information can be stored.
- 4ProcessorThe CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the part of a computer system that is commonly referred to as the "brains" of a computer. The CPU is also known as the processor or microprocessor. An example of a processor is the motherboard.
- 5What is the purpose of a power supply?A purpose of a power supply is to supply power to the computer and takes the required amount of electricity for your computer.
- 6What is the purpose of the computer case?The purpose of the computer case is to hold everything together.
- 7What is the purpose of the motherboard?The motherboard sends messages to all of the components in the computer telling them what to do.
- 8What is the purpose of the RAM?Random Access Memory(RAM)is where the computer stores the current task that is being carried out.
- 9What is the purpose of ROM?It stores a program used to boot up the computer. This is called the bootstrap loader.

document,pictures and programs are stored on your computer. - 11What is repetitive strain injury and what causes them?Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a general term used to describe the pain felt in muscles, nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overuse
- 12What is the cause of back injury when using a computer?Sitting in bad postures,poor desk design or low chairs cause back injury when using a computer.
- 13What is eye strain and what is the cause?Fatigue of the eyes, such as that caused by reading or looking at a computer screen for too long.

workstations correctly - 15What is the purpose of Binary?A binary code represents text, computer processor instructions, or other data using any two-symbol system, but often the binary number system's 0 and 1.
