With more gases in the air to trap heat, the earth's temperature is rising
- 14List some possible consequences of global warming.Higher tides, More violent storms, Wider variation in rainfall and snow, Rising sea levels as the polar ice caps melt which could cause flooding to low-lying areas, more heatwaves and droughts causing more bushfires, the possible extinction of many plants and animals due to habitat change.
- 15What are some alternate energy sources?- Solar (solar panels on buildings+in the desert)
-Wind (windmills)
- Hydroelectricity (wave power, tidal power station) - 16What measures can be taken to deal with climate change issues?Dealing with climate change requires the widest possible cooperation by all countries and their participation in an effective and appropriate international reponse.
- 17What are the solution levels? Give an example of each.Global - UN
