- 1CHAPTER #5: MISTAKES AND FEEDBACK. This chapter is evokes all kionds of mistakes done by students when learning a Second Language. Essentially, deals with the apropriate way to feedback and correct some mistakes.Students make mistakes!
L1 interference: Previous knowledge os Ss about the grammar of their own L. When they get the new language, it interferes with the new language structure. - 2Developmental errors: When learner generalizes a rule and applies it to everything. Ed rule: Maked, beed.2: ASSESSING Ss' PERFORMANCE:
There are different ways to do this and we have to be careful when assessing Ss performance. We can have ways such as comments, reports, marks and grades. All of them have be focused on their growth and have to be in one sense objective, avoid stress and can't stop the learning language process.
