In theory it represents/stands for a lot of available energy, in practice we need to improve technologies to harness it. The sunlight falling on any country in one day contains enough energy to abast his energetic demand during at least 1 year. 3.3 Harnessing renewables have less impact on the environment that fossil fuel. Clean energy sources can be harness to produce electricity, heat, valuable chemical with less impact on the environment. 3.7 Burning fossil fuels is linked to the emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs), mainly carbon dioxide, which is the leading cause not only global warming, but also climate change.
