Hypotenuse: The side opposite the right angle. This will always be the longest side of a right triangle.
Sides: (Adjacent, Opposite)
The two sides that are not the hypotenuse. They are the two sides making up the right angle itself.
- 5Obtuse TriangleIn an obtuse triangle, one angle is greater than a right angle—it is more than 90 degrees. An obtuse triangle may be isosceles or scalene.
- 6Acute TriangleA triangle where all three internal angles are acute (less than 90 degrees).
- 7Scalene TriangleA triangle where all three sides are different in length.
