- 1Parity CheckingThis is a method of error detection. There are two types, even and odd. Odd parity is checking that the number of ones add to an odd number. Even is the same byt for even numbers.
- 2ASCII CodeIn an ASCII file, each alphabetic, numeric, or special character is represented with a 7-bit binary number (a string of seven 0's or 1's). 128 possible characters are defined.
- 3UnicodeAn international encoding standard for use with different languages and scripts, by which each letter, digit, or symbol is assigned a unique numeric value that applies across different platforms and programs.
- 4PixelA minute area of illumination on a display screen, one of many from which an image is composed.

- 6Colour DepthIs either the number of bits used to indicate the color of a single pixel, in a bitmapped image or video frame

- 8Vector graphicsVector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygons
- 9Bitmap GraphicsA bitmap graphic is composed of many tiny parts, called pixels, which are often many different colours.
- 10Raster GraphicsRaster graphics are digital images created or captured (for example, by scanning in a photo) as a set of samples of a given space. A raster is a grid of x and y coordinates on a display space.
