Questão Responda
Explain how mammal lungs have a large surface area They have lots of alveoli
How do plant leaves have a large surface area? Leaves are very large to abosrb as much sunlight as possible
How do mammal lungs reduce their thickness to improve the uptake of oxygen? Alveoli are one cell thick
How does the principle of concentration gradient relate to mammal lungs? Blood has a low concentration of oxygen and lungs have a very high oxygen concentration so more diffusion takes place
Explain how the principle of concentrastion gradient relates to plant leaves There is a high concentration of CO2 in the air compared to the leaf so CO2 enters the leaf through the stoma
How are plant leaves protected from drying out? The transpiration system keeps the leaf surfaces moist
