- 1Logic Gates And Truth TablesThis is my revision guide for revising.
- 2LOGIC GATESLogic gate are used to input data and output. There are three types of logic gates and they are AND, OR and NOT.
- 3AND GatesAn AND Gate has two inputs and one output. If you were to input 1 and 0, a 0 would be returned as both pieces of data have to be a one to return a one if not it will return a 0.
- 4AND Gate exampleA represents 1, B and Q represent 0.
- 5OR GatesAn OR Gate has two inputs and one output. If you were to input 1 and 0, a 1 would be returned as one piece of data has to be a one to return a one.
- 6OR Gate exampleIn this example A and Q represent 1 and B represents 0.
- 7NOT GateA NOT Gate has one input and one output if you were to input 1, a 0 would be returned as a NOT Gate returns the opposite of the data put in.
- 8NOT Gate exampleA represents 1 and Q represents 0.
- 9So that sums up all the types of gates here is an example of all the gates used together. The equation is Q=(A OR B) AND C
- 10Q=(A OR B) AND CThe reason it is called Q=(A OR B) AND C is because Q the output is equal to (A OR B) AND C. So if A and C are both equal to 1 and B is equal to 0 what is Q?
Q is 1
