- 2The CPUParts of a CPU
- 3Parts in a CPU In a CPU there are 3 parts A ALU (Arithmetic Logic unit), Cache memory and the control unit. What they do.
The control unit is in charge of what happens to a piece of data for example it will tell data where to go and tell the device how to use that data - 4What they do? The cache is a very small fast piece of memory in the CPU where the data is stored before it has been decoded and taken to the control unit. What they do?
The ALU is the part of the CPU that decoded the data so the control unit knows were to send it and what to do with it. - 5CPU hertzWhat is a Hertz
A hertz is a measurement of how fast a CPU runs for example 1 Hertz = 1 cycle per second - 6Amounts of hertz1 hertz = 1 cycle
1 cycle = 1 hertz
1000 cycles = 1 Kilohertz
1000000 cycles = 1 megahertz
1000000000 cycles = 1 gigahertz - 7Binary LogicLogic gates

CD ROM
Flash Drive - 13Inputs You need inputs to make your PC do something or go through a processOutput
What happens after a input has been processed and executed. - 14SSD's An SSD or Solid state drive are a type of storage device that has no moving parts so it has a lower chance of braking but they cost more than a HHD and have less room.HHD
A storage device that does have moving parts in so it is more likely to brake but can hold a lot more and cost a lot less than a SSD does. - 15Inputs and outputs for people with needsExamples
- 16CD ROM A CD ROM is normally used to store audio or video or photos. A CD ROM memory is read only memory.Flash Drive
A Flash drive is a USB devise that uses flash memory and is normally used to transfer small amounts of data from one devise to another - 17Foot mouseThis could be used for people who have lost or cant use there hands to use a mouse.
- 18Eye KeyboardThese are for people who cant use there hands or arms to use a Keyboard so they can still use a pc.
