Population Members/organisms of the same species living in the same habitat/region in a given time.
Variation When a members of a population differ in one or more traits.
Monomorphic Members of a population may be uniform and show no variation in regard to a trait
Polymorphic Members of a population show 2 or more variations of a trait.
Discontinuous Variation Members of a population can be organised into a few non-overlapping variant groups for a particular trait.
Monogenic Trait controlled by a single gene
Continuous Variation Members of a population show a wide range of variations of a particular trait.
Polygenic Trait determined by more than one gene
