- 1THE + SHORT ADJECTIVE + -EST Example 1: "Mount Everest is the highest mountain." Example 2: "The cheetah is the fastest animal." Rule: For short adjectives: Add "-est" to the end and use "the" before it.
- 2THE MOST + LONG ADJECTIVE Example 1: "This rose is the most beautiful flower." Example 2: "That book was the most interesting I've read." Rule: For long adjectives: Use "the most" before the adjective.
- 3THE BEST (Irregular) Example 1: "She is the best player on the team." Example 2: "This pizza is the best in the city!" Rule: The superlative form of "good" is "the best."
- 4Flashcard: THE WORST (Irregular) Example 1: "This was the worst weather of the year." Example 2: "That restaurant had the worst food ever." Rule: The superlative form of "bad" is "the worst."
