- 1Definition of a force SIMPLIFIEDA force is a push or a pull
- 2Definition of a force COMPLICATEDA force is a push or a pull when a force is applied to a body, it will cause a change in the state of the body making it accelerate/decelerate. A force can also change the shape of an object. It is measured in N (newtons)
- 3Definition of balanced forcesBalanced forces are equal in size but opposite in sign, therefore summing to zero (i.e. balanced forces, balanced charge)
