- 1linear searchthe computer searches all of the numbers in a linear order until it finds the right one and then stops
- 2insertion sortthe computer takes a number and moves it through the line until it is in the right place
- 3binary searchthe computer takes an ordered list and takes the middle number and sees if it is higher than the number it is searching for if it is it deletes the half after the number this process contiues until only that number is left
- 4bubble sorttakes the numbers in twos and puts them into a numerical order until the list is in order
- 5merge sortsplit the numbers until they are seperate then repeatedly put them back together in numerical order

- 18binary shift leftmoves binary numbers to the left increasing the denary number by double as many times as you move it
- 19binary shift rightmoves a binary digit to the right to half it as many times as you move it
