The Math Object

The Math object is a native object that is being provided to us by JavaScript in order to perform mathematical operations and computations easier by using these functions.

The Math object works with data types of number. Some of the commonest functions used are:

Math.random() // creates a random decimal number between 0 and 1. In case you want to increase the range, you need to multiply the random number with the upper limit you want to set. Math,random() * 10 (from 0 to 10)

Math.round(x) // Rounds the decimal number x to the nearest integer

Math.ceil(x) // Rounds the decimal x to the nearest upper integer

Math.floor(x) // rounds the decimal to X to the bottom nearest integer
