1. firewall

   • if u didn't have a firewall infected data packets can.
   • controls which programs can send and receive data packets.

2. anti-malware

   • Anti-malware software protects against infections caused by many types of malware,
     • quarantines any programs or files that are harmful
   • protects against malicious software.
   • needs to be updated regularly to keep up with the latest threats

3. passwords

   • a secure password should be at least eight charecters long with a mixture of capitals and numbers alphanumeric mix

4. encryption

   • used to scramble data being sent over a network so that it can only be read by the person that has the"key"

5. without this unauthorised users from being able to read important information unless they have the key.
